Wow…um, considering how slow a reader I am, this is not good news for the national average of America.
Though, I should point out THIS IS NOT A MEASURE OF INTELLIGENCE. Reading speed has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence. So putting this on a scale of 3rd Grade to College Professors is not only an arbitrary comparison, but unfairly shaming. I probably read faster today than I did when I was doing my Masters, but that doesn’t mean that I’m smarter than I was back then - on the contrary, I’m probably less so…I’ve just had more years of reading.
Also, it might be interesting to note that humans read slower when looking at a computer screen than they do when reading from a book. So, this really only measures your screen-reading speed.
